La magia dell’ evento autunnale proposto in Castello affina la creatività e accresce l’attesa dell’arrivo del Natale


Il borgo medioevale di Strassoldo nella bassa friulana è di raro fascino, ancora ben conservato e abitato dai discendenti del nobile casato. La contessa, Gabriella Williams Di Strassoldo due volte l’anno apre le porte di casa trasformando il borgo in luogo da favola, offrendo una bella occasione per incantare e vedere valorizzato il bel maniero:in un luogo quotidiano può accadere il meraviglioso.

La manifestazione autunnale denominata “Frutti, Acque e Castelli” è molto ambita dagli espositori che subiscono una rigorosa selezione per essere ammessi e il risultato finale è l’offerta di prodotti proprio belli.

L’entrata è a pagamento perchè si tratta di un’attività di fundraising, ma diverse associazioni del paese collaborano alla riuscita dell’inizativa allestendo vari chioschi enogastronomici dove si può pranzare con buoni prodotti del luogo, compresa una torta alle mele creata con l’antica ricetta della nobiliare famiglia.

Per due giorni diversi artigiani, antiquari, artisti e vivaisti provenienti anche da altre Regioni arredano le sale interne ed i giardini dello storico complesso monumentale con i loro preziosi manufatti.

Il risultato è una grande e naturale vetrina di prodotti di artigianato artistico, squisitezze gastronomiche e bellezze floreali sapientemente collocati tra le pareti di casa.

Il parco del brolo e l’intero maniero sono circondati da acque di risorgiva e nel borgo sono visibili anche i vecchi mulini a pale che contribuiscono a creare un’atmosfera unica.

In questa stagione autunnale alcuni oggetti in vendita sono ispirati al tema natalizio, così si possono cogliere molti spunti per allestimenti o regali: pare di visitare una tradizionale fiera di mercatini, ma l’atmosfera creata dal sapiente allestimento scenografico del luogo fa vivere l’esperienza come una fiaba.

Le cucine, le stalle, la piccola cappella di famiglia, la foresteria, le stanze signorili , i giardini, la limonaia, la pileria del riso, la cancelleria, il folador dove veniva pigiata l’uva, il brolo prendono vita attraverso la fantasiosa e appropriata disposizione della merce di squisito stile country.

Il romanticismo della vita agreste è suggerito anche dalle bancarelle con tanti fiori ed oggetti d’arredo per la casa ed il giardino, e vecchie sedie e tavoli in ghisa o ferro battuto completano sapientemente la scenografia, tra spezie e creazioni visionarie autunnali.

Un immaginario tappeto patchwork creato con i frutti della terra e soffici cuscini realizzati con foglie caduche e fiori di ortensie ormai sfioriti catturano la mia attenzione: l’insieme è una vera un’opera d’arte.

Le pareti dei saloni del castello sono adornati da ritratti e stemmi di aristocratici, e sui pavimenti in legno coperti da grandi tappeti fanno bella mostra di sè i mobili antichi , addobbati con estrose creazioni a natura morta.

Le finestre sono abbellite da ricchi tendaggi e sui balconi ghirlande di composizioni ricavate da ciò che la natura offre in questa stagione puntegiano le antiche mura di sasso: mele cotogne, pere, mele, pigne, tralci secchi d’uva, foglie, edere, uva, melograno, rosa canina, nespoli, fichi, noci, cachi…

Gli interni e l’esterno dei luoghi sembrano legati da un unico filo di continuità argomentativa, ma in un rimescolamento di visioni dove la natura fa da padrona per la sua innegabile Bellezza.

Nel parco del castello due vecchie ante di porta posate al limite degli scalini che scendono verso la roggia che lo lambisce, sembrano invitare ad entrare nel nulla per osservare ciò che spesso vediamo ma non guardiamo.

Guidati dalla musica che giunge da un’arpa collocata nella cappella, si scopre anche l’abile intraprendenza di un’artista musicale che fa vivere ai visitatori l’emozione delle armonie che arrivano al cuore.

Passeggiando ràpiti da tanti stimoli, si è così invitati a cambiare prospettiva e apprezzare come si può omaggiare l’altare di una chiesa attraverso una composizione di edera e pere anziché fiori: è l’abile mano di un genio creativo che compie la magia.

Le antiche scale in penombra e il vecchio fogolar scenograficamente allestiti con originali candele proposte da un’ estrosa artigiana, o tanti secchi in rame appesi alle vecchie travi in legno del soffitto, riportano all’ esperienza di vita a ritroso nel tempo.

Il complesso monumentale di Strassoldo non delude anche con una piacevole gita domenicale fuori porta, ma la prossima manifestazione con i colori della primavera, che tradizionalmente si svolge il week end delle Palme, sarà un’occasione da non perdere. Segnàtelo subito in agenda!

BEAUTY INTERPRETS AUTUMN IN THE HISTORIC FRIULIAN VILLAGE OF STRASSOLDO

The medieval village of Strassoldo in the lower Friuli region is of rare charm, still well preserved and inhabited by the descendants of the noble family. The Countess, Gabriella Williams Di Strassoldo twice a year opens the doors of her house transforming the village into a fairytale place, offering a beautiful opportunity to enchant and see the beautiful manor valorized: in a daily place can happen the wonderful.
The autumn event called “Fruits, Waters and Castles” is highly coveted by exhibitors who undergo a rigorous selection to be admitted and the end result is the offer of their own beautiful products.
The entrance is paid because it is a fundraising activity, but several associations in the country collaborate to the success of the initiative setting up various food and wine kiosks where you can have lunch with good local products, including an apple pie created with the ancient recipe of the noble family.
For two days, different artisans, antique dealers, artists and nurserymen, also from other regions, furnish the internal rooms and gardens of the historic monumental complex with their precious artifacts.
The result is a large and natural showcase of artistic handicrafts, gastronomic delicacies and floral beauty expertly placed between the walls of the house.
The park and the entire castle are surrounded by resurgence waters and in the village you can also see the old paddle mills that contribute to create a unique atmosphere.
In this autumn season some items for sale are inspired by the Christmas theme, so you can take many ideas for arrangements or gifts: it seems to visit a traditional market fair, but the atmosphere created by the skillful scenic setting of the place makes the experience live like a fairy tale.
The kitchens, the stables, the small family chapel, the guesthouse, the stately rooms, the gardens, the lemon house, the rice husk, the stationery, the cellar where the grapes were pressed, the garden come to life through the imaginative and appropriate arrangement of the goods of exquisite country style.
The romanticism of rural life is also suggested by the stalls with many flowers and furnishings for the home and garden, and old chairs and tables in cast iron or wrought iron skillfully complete the scenery, including spices and visionary autumn creations.
An imaginary patchwork carpet created with the fruits of the earth and soft cushions made with deciduous leaves and flowers of hydrangeas now faded capture my attention: the whole is a true work of art.
The walls of the castle’s halls are adorned with portraits and coats of arms of aristocrats, and on the wooden floors covered with large carpets are beautifully displayed antique furniture, decorated with imaginative still life creations.
The windows are embellished with rich curtains and on the balconies garlands of compositions obtained from what nature offers in this season punctuate the ancient stone walls: quinces, pears, apples, pine cones, dried shoots of grapes, leaves, ivy, grapes, pomegranate, dog rose, medlars, figs, walnuts, persimmons …
The interiors and exteriors of the places seem to be linked by a single thread of argumentative continuity, but in a remixing of visions where nature is the master of its undeniable Beauty.
In the park of the castle two old door leaves laid on the edge of the steps that go down to the canal that laps it, seem to invite you to enter into nowhere to observe what we often see but do not look.
Guided by the music that comes from a harp located in the chapel, you will also discover the skillful initiative of a musical artist who makes visitors experience the emotion of harmonies that reach the heart.
Walking with so many stimuli, you are invited to change your perspective and appreciate how you can pay homage to the altar of a church through a composition of ivy and pears instead of flowers: it is the skilled hand of a creative genius who performs the magic.
The ancient half-light stairs and the old fogolar, scenographically set up with original candles proposed by an imaginative craftswoman, or many copper buckets hanging from the old wooden beams of the ceiling, bring back to the experience of life back in time.

The monumental complex of Strassoldo does not disappoint even with a pleasant Sunday trip out of town, but the next event with the colors of spring, which traditionally takes place on the Palm weekend, will be an opportunity not to be missed. Report it immediately in your diary !
