“Laboratori” : dove riscoprire l’alta maglieria artigianale a Spilimbergo

L’iniziativa del giovane Gianmarco porta nuova linfa vitale ed entusiasmo nello spilimberghese.

Dopo la laurea in Pubbliche Relazioni, alcuni anni trascorsi in un’ azienda tessile friulana e l’esperienza londinese, prevale l’insoddisfazione per l’impossibilità di esprimere al meglio il proprio valore.

Non si lascia portar via gli anni da giornate che riempiono di frustrazione l’anima e incomincia a immaginare una nuova storia…

L’amore come sempre “move il sol e l’altre stelle” e a novembre 2020 “Laboratori-Knitwear” diventa realtà.

Alida, la storica magliaia del paese natio, gli trasmette un prezioso sapere e insieme tessono un progetto di esperienza ed innovazione, dando vita a capi in maglia, raffinati, curati nel dettaglio e su misura.

Il braccio incomincia ad oscillare su diverse macchine manuali di fine anni sessanta e nascono i primi modelli di maglieria in filati di diversa consistenza, dove la qualità della materia prima, di spontanea bellezza, imprime un valore che trascende la moda.

L’accurata scelta della fibra naturale, lana merinos e cashmere, si orienta su aziende certificate che trattano prodotti tracciabili e sostenibili; la precisione nel dettaglio, il gusto estetico e la competenza fanno il resto.

La collezione si distanzia da una proposta dozzinale, per comunicare il valore di un capo bello, unico, artigianale, durevole, autentico e fatto su misura.

L’idea, che sposo a pieni voti, è quella di ritornare a possedere poche cose, ma belle!

La scelta estetica dell’accostamento dei colori e dei dettagli si ispira alla campagna inglese, ma l’alchimia si crea solo quando il filato modella il capo sulla figura ed il gusto del cliente, attraverso una relazione diretta ed autentica.

L’originalità di questo progetto consiste anche nella scelta della sede del laboratorio, che si inserisce nella città con le potenzialità di un luogo dove i creativi possono sviluppare alleanze e dar vita a contaminazioni artistiche e collaborazioni, incontri o workshop, in una logica di supporto, condivisione e crescita collettiva, sempre con l’ambizione di creare flusso economico, turistico e culturale nel piccolo angolo a nord-est d’Italia.

Non è un caso la scelta del plurale “Laboratori”, perchè come sempre, l’unione fa la forza!

Young Gianmarco’s initiative brings new life and enthusiasm to the Spilimbergo area.

After a degree in Public Relations, a few years spent in a textile company in Friuli and the experience in London, dissatisfaction prevails because of the impossibility of expressing one’s own value at its best.

He does not let the years take away the days that fill the soul with frustration and begins to imagine a new story …

Love as always “moves the sun and the other stars” and in November 2020 “Laboratori” becomes reality.

Alida, the historical knitter of his hometown, transmits to him a precious knowledge and together they weave a project of experience and innovation, giving life to knitted garments, refined, detailed and tailored.

The arm begins to swing on various manual machines of the late sixties and the first knitwear models are born in yarns of different consistencies, where the quality of the raw material of spontaneous beauty, gives a value that transcends fashion.

The careful choice of natural fibers, merino wool and cashmere, is oriented towards certified companies that deal with traceable and sustainable products; precision in detail, aesthetic taste and competence do the rest.

The collection distances itself from a cheap proposal, to communicate the value of a beautiful, unique, handmade, durable, authentic and made-to-measure garment.

The idea, that I share, is to return to owning a few things, but beautiful!

The aesthetic choice of the combination of colors and details is inspired by the English countryside, but the alchemy is created only when the yarn models the garment on the figure and taste of the customer, through a direct and authentic relationship.

The originality of this project also lies in the choice of the laboratory’s location, which fits into the city with the potential of a place where creatives can develop alliances and give life to artistic contaminations and collaborations, meetings or workshops, in a logic of support, sharing and collective growth, always with the ambition to create economic, tourist and cultural flow in the small northeast corner of Italy.

It is not a coincidence that we chose the plural “Laboratori”, because as always, the union is strength!
